Customized Computers

Computer customization is nothing new to the devoted computer enthusiast but with most other computer users, it usually comes down to, "Do I want beige or black?" The main purpose for LMC Computers is to provide a custom computer that suits your needs as well as letting you choose what you would like for it to look like. With a customized computer, others are sure to notice that you don't have an ordinary computer but that it is something special.

The Customization Process

The customization process starts by giving you the control over how your want your computer to look on the outside, as well as on the inside. There are a couple of things that can make this happen for you.

1. You get to choose the type of case that you want whether big or small, wide or thin. You get to choose the color of the case. There are many different types of cases out there with many different colors. Being able to choose that is the first step in having a custom computer.

2. You get to choose whether the case has a window in it or not. If it does have a window, you then get to choose the colors that will be inside the computer. Colors can come from fans with LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), Cold Cathode Fluorescent Tubes, as well as color strips that are Ultra Violet reflective. These things definitely make a computer stand out in the crowd.

The customization process does not end there. As with all electronic parts, computers generate heat and that can be detrimental to a computer. The best and cheapest way to get the heat out of the computer is by the use of fans. Fans come in a wide assortment of sizes, colors, volume, and the amount of air that it can move. It is essential that the air in the computer case be circulated and exhausted. The best way to do this is to have good fans to suck air in to the computer and then blow the hot air out.

There are some instances where a case is really nice but the airflow is restricted by the vents. In such instances, it is necessary to make the openings for the fans bigger and to clear out un-needed blockage like so:

Before
After

Doing this eliminated the blockage of air flow and increased the airflow in the case dramatically.

So, What else is different?

I was hoping that you would be asking that. Other things that are different about an LMC computer is that to improve airflow and keep the components of the computer cooler, LMC uses rounded IDE and Floppy cables instead of flat ribbon cables in all computers. LMC also ensures proper airflow inside the computer to insure that the parts inside you computer get enough air moving across them to keep them cool. They also use 3rd party cooling solutions for the processor instead of one that may come out of the box as well as industry leading Arctic Silver 5 for the contact between the heat sink and the processor.
